TXO, a global leader in sustainable technology lifecycle solutions, has expanded its presence in North America with the addition of the AirWay Group of companies, leading providers of network infrastructure products and services. The move significantly increases TXO’s scale in the region and enhances its customer value proposition in lifecycle management, network and engineering, staging, sourcing, logistics, and technology reuse.
Founded in 1992, AirWay supports over 250 telecom and broadband customers in more than 70 countries. Their core services include the supply of new and repurposed network equipment, certified recycling and asset recovery, network commissioning and decommissioning, and bespoke warehousing and logistics programmes. AirWay works with all four major US national carriers – AT&T, Dish, T-Mobile, and Verizon – and operates R2, ISO and OHSAS-certified facilities across the United States.
The integration of AirWay expands TXO’s warehousing footprint and engineering services in North America, enhancing its ability to offer full lifecycle support—from staging and site kitting to equipment commissioning, asset decommissioning and agile sourcing. These capabilities further TXO’s goal of delivering comprehensive, end-to-end technology solutions that help customers reduce waste, extend asset life, and access more sustainable alternatives to new hardware.
As part of the transition, Mark Gergel, Chairman of AirWay, will join the current TXO Advisory Board in a strategic role, bringing valuable market insight and leadership experience from across the US telecom sector. He will work alongside current Advisory Board members Alan Ockenden and Karim Barkawi, who were instrumental in the founding and development of TXO and Teqport, respectively.
Meanwhile, Tom Eaton will take on the role of CEO, TXO Americas, leading the Group’s operations in the US and supporting continued expansion across the region. His appointment provides local leadership with global alignment, enabling more agile decision-making and greater responsiveness to customer needs across North and South America.
This latest development supports TXO’s long-term strategy to build a global circular economy. The TXO Group now includes over 450 specialists across five continents. This growing network enhances the Group’s ability to maximise return on capital for clients, transforming how technology is sourced, deployed, reused, and returned to value—helping customers reduce costs, minimise waste, and achieve their own sustainability goals.
